Mandy Polk
Assistant Coach
The former Mandy Moffitt (now Mandy Polk) departed Monterey High School to accept the assistant coaching position for the Lady Chaps volleyball program prior to the 2009 season.
This is Mandy’s second tenure with the LCU coaching staff. The former LCU volleyball standout (2001-2004) served as a student assistant coach under Lawrence in 2005. Prior to returning in 2009, Mandy served as the head volleyball coach at Monterey High School for three years.
Mandy competed at Coronado High School prior to enrolling at LCU, where she became the first and only four-time NAIA All-American in program history and was part of three NAIA National Championship tournament squads. She holds the program’s career record for aces (195) and assists (6,465). Her 6,465 assists ranks sixth in NAIA history for career assists. She currently ranks fifth on LCU’s career digs list (1,704). In 2001, she was named Freshman of the Year, Setter of the Year and also earned First Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors. She followed with Setter of the Year, Most Valuable Player and First Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.
By joining the staff, Mandy will serve as Lawrence’s top assistant. She will also serve as the head coach of the LCU’s junior varsity volleyball program. The 2009 season marked the first season the Lady Chaparrals have had a junior varsity volleyball program.
